The Naples Airport Terminal Building
Naples International Airport has only one terminal building, handling both Departures and Arrivals. Thus, no matter the origin country or the destination, all flights are served by the same terminal. Being a small airport, Naples Airport is considered a transit hub that is easy to navigate, a fact that contributes significantly to an overall pleasant traveling experience.
The Terminal of Naples Capodichino Airport
Naples airport terminal features window walls. As a result, passengers enjoy natural light while waiting for their flights, while the airport’s ambiance is overall agreeable. The terminal spreads over two levels.
The ground level houses the Arrivals. Hence, the baggage claim zone is to be found at that level, while access to the airport’s transit modes is available through that floor. Moreover, the NAP airport’s check-in zone is located on the ground floor. In general terms, Departures are split into three sections. Sections B and C are situated at the lower level, with section C being dedicated to non-Schengen flights. The Naples airport ground level also houses a shopping arcade, a pharmacy, and luggage facilities. Hence, passengers can wrap their luggage, benefit from tracking services, or weigh their personal items to ensure they won’t be charged for overweight baggage. Finally, some drinking and dining options are also located on that level.
The upper floor of Naples Capodichino Airport hosts the departure gates. Verily, the Departure area A is to be found on the first floor, that is the zone handling flights to the 27 Schengen countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland). The airport’s luggage storage area also lies here, adjacent to security checkpoints, while that level houses a shopping area, the Duty-free zone, and a pharmacy, along with several bars and restaurants. The Naples airport lounge is situated on the upper floor as well, close to Gate C17.
The only pre-security dining facility is McDonald’s.

Finally, the airport has 10 points for manual passport control. 6 out of them are to be found in the Arrivals area, whereas the other 4 lie in the Departures zone.
The Second NAP Airport Terminal Building
Naples Capodichino Airport had a second terminal building within walking distance from its main terminal. The second NAP terminal handled charter flights, being a subsidiary facility within the Naples airport complex. However, in 2015, the second terminal was demolished, making the airport in Naples a single-terminal aviation hub. As a matter of fact, the metro station for Metro Line 1, which will serve Naples Airport by 2026, will be situated in the former terminal’s location.
